General information

All foreigners visiting Russian Federation require a Russian Visa. In order to receive one, you need a so-called Visa Support Letter from a Russian side, usually an authorized travel agency. Visa Support Letter is not a visa, it should be taken to a Russian Consulate where the actual visa is issued. 1. Tourist Visa - This visa type is issued to tourists who have booked accommodation in Russia for non-business reason. If you are a participant or visitor of the exhibition and are not planning to stay in Russia for more than 30 days, you can travel on a tourist visa. When you know exactly where and how long you will be staying without diverting from your planned itinerary - a tourist visa is best for. For a tourist visa to Russia, you must have confirmed accommodations or transit information for every night of your stay in the country.

Process: To issue tourist visa support letter we need to have from you copy of your passport (main page). Visa Support Letter is partially in Russian and consists of 2 pages. One page is visa support letter itself with your personal data: citizenship, date of birth & passport number. Second page is a hotel voucher confirming that you stay at a certain hotel during the period of validity of your visa.

You will have to pay the Russian Consular fees yourself as well as for the logistics involved in getting your passport to and from the Russian Consulate. Russian Visa processing prices very according to your citizenship and the Russian Consulate applied to. After you have received your Visa Support Letter, you should bring or send a copy of it along with the other documents to the Russian Consulate in your country. Before sending any documentation to the Russian Consulate we suggest that you check with them regarding other documents that are required and receive information concerning the processing in your specific country. In some countries fax copy of Visa support letters is enough, in other countries original is required. Payment for express mail is not included in price.

Business Visa - This type of Russian visa is issued for travelers, who visit Russia on official or private business. Business visas are best for visitors who do not know their exact itineraries, want to stay in Russia longer than 30 days or need to enter Russia frequently. Business visas to the Russian Federation may be issued with up to two entries and for up to 90 days. There are also multiple-entry business visas, valid for 3, 6 or 12 months with unlimited entries/exits.

Process: We will apply for your official business visa support at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and mail it to you after it will be issued.

You will need to provide the original visa invitation to your consulate. IMPORTANT

· NO VISA can be purchased upon arrival to Russia.

· NOT REGISTERING your Russian Visa may lead to serious problems: detention by police, fines on departure, prevention from boarding the plane, etc. Your visa will be registered automatically if you stay in a hotel.

· Russian visa can be issued till the date not less than 6 month prior to the expiry date of your passport.
