This time we offer you to start your acquaintance with the most popular touristic itinerary in Russia visiting three towns the nearest to Moscow - Sergiev Posad, Vladimir and Suzdal. These towns have played a very important role in the formation of Russian spiritual and architectural tradition. Their white-stone monuments, gently preserved through the historical peripetias, are well recognized and highly estimated outside of our country.
DAY 1. MOSCOW – VLADIMIR – SUZDAL

DURING THE TOUR YOU WILL SEE:
- Sergiev Posad is one of the spiritual centers of contemporary Russia. Its heart is the Trinity-Sergiev Lavra. The first Father Superior of the monastery Sergiy Radonezhsky was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church and became one of the most venerated Russian saints. Architectural ensemble of the courtyard was created in 15th – 19th century and it represents a combination of different styles. During the tour you will explore the territory of the Monastery and visit the Trinity Cathedral, the Cathedral of Assumption and Spiritual Temple of the Trinity-Sergiev Lavra.
- Vladimir is a sample of white-stone architecture of Ancient Russia. It is situated on the steep bank of the river Klyazma. Founded by Vladimir Monomakh in 1108, Vladimir still carefully keeps three survivor monuments of pre-Mongol architecture, which you will visit during your panoramic tour: the Cathedral of Assumption (1161 year), which was often compared with the Cathedral of Tsar Solomon in Jerusalem by the chroniclers of that time, the Dmitry Cathedral, famous for its white-stone carving, and Golden Gate - the triumphal arch, guarding the entrance to the prince's part of the city.
- The village of Bogolyubovo is a former residence of the prince Andrey Bogolyubsky therefrom you’ll take a stroll to the church Trancession -on- the Nerl river (12th century). It is included into the list of the UNESCO world heritage and accepted as architectural masterpiece.
- Suzdal is a real open-air museum, founded in the 10th century. Located on the picturesque shore of the river Kamenka, here on the territory of 9 square km there are more than 200 unique landmarks of Ancient Russia. Among them are Bishop's Chambers of Kremlin, Savior Monastery of St. Euthymius (14th century), Suzdal Museum of Wooden Architecture, which consists of 18 sites, dating back to 18th – 19th century, built by Russian carpenters practically with the axes only.
