Despite its young age (only 300 years old) Saint Petersburg has taken a very special place in history. During the sightseeing city tour on the first day you’ll see the main landmarks of the city: the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island, Senate Square and other monuments and architectural ensembles. Next day you’ll walk along the snowy Petersburg streets and visit Shuvalovsky Palace where the famous Faberge Museum is located. A really unique excursion is awaiting for you here. Basic collection of the museum, which is permanently replenished, is the collection of Forbes, which was purchased by the founder of the museum Viktor Vikselberg in 2004. The collection counts about 200 objects including 9 unique Easter Eggs created by Сarl Faberge for the last two emperors. In the afternoon you’ll set off to Sheremetyev Palace, one of the first Petersburg palaces, that is the same age as the city on the river Neva. Till 1917 it belonged to five generations of the Sheremetyev family. Currently the Museum of Music is located there. The museum is based on the largest collection of musical instruments in Russia gathered from all over the world. The third day you'll spend in the most elegant residence of Russian emperors Pavlovsk where you'll take a stroll along a magnificent scenery park spread over an area of 600 hectares and have troika riding experience. The theatre world of Saint Petersburg will open its doors to you on the fourth day. You'll head to excursion to Alexandrinsky Theatre, which is the progenitor of all Russian theatres. It was founded on the 30th of August, 1756 and this date is considered Russian professional theatre birthday. In eight halls of the museum you can find unique stage costumes, decorations, furniture, props from performances of 19th – 20th centuries created according to sketches of outstanding artists.
