DURING THE TOUR YOU WILL SEE:

  • Saint Petersburg is the city on the river Neva, the cultural capital, the Northern Palmyra, the city of white nights, the cradle of the revolution… Plenty of names suit the city. Despite its young age (only 300 years old) Saint Petersburg has taken a very special place in history of Russia. Most of the sightseeing tours start with Peter and Paul Fortress visit, the first fortress-bastion and burial place of Russian Emperors. It is the oldest architectural site founded personally by Peter the Great on May 27th, 1703. The day of the foundation of the fortress is considered the city foundation day. Next morning you’ll visit the State Hermitage – one of the largest art and cultural-historical museums in the world. Its main building is located in the Winter Palace, the main Emperor's residence. After lunch you’ll be awaited by St. Isaac’s Cathedral that is sometimes called the museum of colored stones as its luxurious interiors are decorated with valuable species of stones: malachite, marble, lapis lazuli, shungite, siltstone. The third day you will spend in the residences of Russian emperors – ceremonial Tsarskoye Selo, where during the visit of the grand Catherine Palace you'll admire one of the wonders of the world of modern time – revived Amber Room, and elegant Pavlovsk, where you'll visit the Paul's Palace and take troika riding in a magnificent scenery park spread over an area of 600 hectares. In the evening we offer you to continue the acquaintance with musical Saint Petersburg and set off to Mariinsky Theatre, a cradle of classical Russian ballet and opera (the tickets are not included into the tour price). Next day you’ll start with the first stone building of the city, Menshikov Palace, where you’ll see unique Dutch tiled interiors and front oak staircase well preserved since the time of the palace building.
