  • Moscow is a modern metropolis and the capital of Russia. Its history starts in 1147 when the prince Yury Dolgorukiy founded a small outpost on the bank of the river Moscow. During the tour you will admire the view from the University square of the Sparrow Hills and see all main landmarks of the city: Red Square, embankment of the river Moscow, monument of Peter the Great, Novodevchy convent and Christ the Savior Cathedral. On the second day you will visit the Moscow Kremlin with its mighty walls and towers, golden-domed churches and ancient «Terems» (wooden towers) that proudly rise above the river Moscow making a unique architectural ensemble. You will see the churches of the Cathedral Square, Patriarchal Chambers with the church of 12 Apostles, The Tsar Cannon and The Tsar Bell, Senate and Arsenal buildings. After the Kremlin visit you'll walk along Arbat street - one of the most beautiful streets known since 15th century. Your way back to the hotel will be reconciled with one more unique museum visit – Moscow Metro. It's a real underground museum and each of 222 stations has its own inimitable design. Marble, mosaic, stained glass, various bronze decorations and sculptures are organically combined here. A boat trip along the river Moscow with dinner (extra charge) on board is waiting for you in the evening. Three hours cruise on board of the comfortable boat of Radisson Royal fleet is an opportunity to admire magnificent landmarks of the city. Next day you’ll take a stroll in the splendid parks of Kolomenskoye Estate, favorite summer residence of the first Romanovs. There you’ll see the Church of the Ascension – the first stone tent-roofed temple inscribed in 1994 on the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage. Or, if it’s winter season, you’ll visit Tretyakov Gallery – the main museum of National Art in Russia. There you can find everything starting from icon art to contemporary artists and sculptors. Among them are the originals of Repin, Serov, Vrubel, Kramskoy, Shishkin, Levitan and other creations of great masters. In your spare time you can continue your own city exploration or order an additional excursion.
